Okay so remember like TWO MONTHS AGO when I decided to become a marathon runner?? And then I did too much too soon with crappy shoes and gave myself shin splints so I couldn’t walk anymore?? Do you remember that? Well, I do. And if you don’t, go here to educate yourself, then come back and read this post.
Well, I am happy to announce that —Monday I ran.
Did you read that…I RAN!
I had no pain whatsoever. NO PAIN IN THE LEGS FOLKS!
I did what the doc said–took it easy and got new shoes (oh was that hard!!–the taking it easy, not the getting new shoes).
I’m so glad to be back on track, well sort of back on track, you know what I mean. It feels good to be doing something good and challenging for my body.
Can I just say that whoa it’s stinking cold here in Michigan? My legs didn’t hurt while I was running, but my lungs sure did from that cold air! And oh my was it windy. But I did it.
I. did. it.
Stay tuned….in 9 short weeks I should be able to run 5K. And then who knows where I’ll go from there!

Now to get back on track with that 100 push-up challenge……
